Developing your role as a Senior Information Risk Owner – Virtual course

This course is delivered by Barry Moult, a former Head of Information Governance for an NHS Trust and winner of the ICO’s excellence in Data Protection award 2020.

The course will focus on developing your role as a SIRO (Senior Information Risk Owner) in health and social care.

If you are new to the role of Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) or a SIRO needing a refresher course, then this training course is for you.

Our SIRO training course will ensure you are sufficiently trained to deliver the role of the SIRO. You will come away with a deep understanding of the role, the safe sharing of patient data and mitigation of risks associated with patients, staff and the organisation.

The one day virtual course will help you to understand how to identify information security risks, how to mitigate these risks and manage incidents.

The course is practical and interactive and provides a sound foundation for those already in the role or looking to move into the role.  All of the sessions include delegate participation, discussion, case studies and scenarios.

Our expert trainer Barry Moult will deliver the course virtually through Microsoft Teams. All you require is a quiet space, good internet connection, a microphone and camera to be able to hear. see and speak to the trainer and other delegates. Instructions and login details will be provided leading up to the training.

Our next course will be held on the 22nd October 2020. To view our schedule for all upcoming training courses, click here.
